Non-Resident Choral Composers of Missouri

The list below includes published choral composers who have a relationship with Missouri but may not currently reside in the state. They were either born in Missouri (1), taught in the state (2), or attended a school in Missouri (3). Most have a website which will enable the user to gather information about their work and music. By compiling and publishing this information we are encouraging a creative partnership between Missouri’s composers, poets, artists, choirs, and especially, our audiences, the citizens of Missouri.

Missouri Verses and Voices Goals:

• To give voice to the choral composers of Missouri.
• To interact with and interpret creative words and ideas.
• To think artistically, envisioning the sound, design and images of creative words and ideas.
• To encourage creative collaboration between Missouri's composers, poets, artists and choirs.
• To involve Missouri's citizens in the creative voice of Missouri.
