	About First Lady Awards Festivals Poets Laureate Missouri Poets Missouri Composers Photo Galleries Contact Arts, Poetry & Music Resources	David Benz: Biography Dr. David Benz, co-founder and artistic director of Verses and Voices, is considered a master teacher who models the highest levels of artistry. Through Verses and Voices, Dr. Benz’ educational vision to create collaborative arts experiences that integrate all of the arts is creating a new model for the future of arts education. Dr. Benz serves as the director of choral activities for Missouri Western State University. He also serves as the artistic director for the St. Joseph Community Chorus and Chamber Choir, a volunteer chorus of 90 singers who continue to artistically connect the university with the local, state and regional community. Dr. Benz, a past winner of the advanced NATS division, continues to actively sing solo recitals being noted for his beautiful lyric baritone voice. He maintains membership with MENC, MMEA, ACDA, MCDA, and Chorus America. Download PDF version.
